Cardiac PET Imaging
Cardiac PET imaging assesses blood flow to the heart and evaluates overall heart function. This advanced test is one of the most accurate, non-invasive methods for diagnosing coronary artery disease and identifying areas of reduced blood flow or damage to the heart muscle.
Alzheimer’s PET Imaging
Using FDA-approved tracers such as Amyvid and Vizamyl, this scan detects amyloid plaques in the brain—one of the key indicators of Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s PET imaging helps physicians make more informed diagnoses and differentiate Alzheimer’s from other causes of memory loss. In addition, if detected early, there are medications that can dissolve these plaques.
Prostate Cancer PET Imaging
Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET imaging with the FDA-approved tracers Illuccix and POSLUMA® allows for highly sensitive detection of prostate cancer cells throughout the body. This scan is valuable for initial diagnosis, staging, and monitoring for recurrence or treatment response.

What to Expect During Your PET Scan
Your PET imaging appointment begins with a small injection of a safe, radioactive tracer. After a short uptake period, you will lie comfortably on the scanner while detailed images are captured. The scan itself is painless, and most appointments are completed within a few hours, depending on the type of study ordered.
